R and R Christmas Card
A couple of weeks back Perry and I embarked on an internal location project for the R and R Images Christmas Card. We were looking to do something a bit different, something out-of –the-box (or at least studio). Perry had been creatively inspired by something he saw on a recent road trip to Bisbee last year. The inspiration came from a dark mountain atop which sat a lone lit Christmas tree. The somewhat mysterious scene fueled the concept for the card. The idea, essentially circled around bringing a “traditional” holiday look into an unexpected place. As Perry and I hauled in about 80 pounds of photo gear into the desert landscape, we were kicking ourselves for having ever come up with the idea. However, when all was said and done we were both pleased with the outcome and gratified by the result. After all, you always have to work for powerful images.
